![]() ![]() Another factor is that they come in a really compact and small form factor, which makes them easily portable. This is why SBCs are perfect! they are much cheaper compared to say, a laptop or a desktop, which makes them a much better option. Since retro games are not as graphically intensive, having an insane level of computing power isn’t necessary. Therefore, the best option for emulating retro games would be to get cheap inexpensive, single-board computers (SBCs) which you can transform into your very own gaming consoles! ![]() You’d be hard-pressed to find some online on sites such as Amazon or eBay, however the asking price for such antiques is absurd. Going out and buying these consoles is not always the best option since most are obsolete, cost a lot of money and also require a TV. More and more users are wanting to play old SNES or Nintendo 64 games. If you look through the lakka forums you will also find the tweaks to get goldeneye 100%, ill give android a go though, most games have similar performances.Retro gaming is the new fad amongst enthusiasts! Playing old games not only provides a feeling of nostalgia, but streaming them online, on social media, also garners quite a bit of attention. Lakka has potential but its pretty much an abandoned project IMO. The fact it offers controller and dock support is just overkill. Mupen64 on android has more updates runs more games, and offers better textures for some. The latest Lakka conkers and ocarina of time are completely busted, lakka has pretty much been abandoned imo. Goldeneye might be the exception, it took some tinkering in lakka to get full speed, but either way android will still outstrip it. the list goes on, some need to have slight tweaks but the fps is always 95-100%. Every triple A game I have tried runs perfectly in Android though, from conkers BFD, both banjos, yoshi, zelda, zelda MM, donkey kong 64 smash bros. Same as lakka some games like goldeneye needs tweaking in the settings. I know lakka can hit full speed for sure with goldeneye I tried it purely for testing ages ago and was always between 55-60fps, Im not that big on fps games and i dont recall trying it on android, im happy to test it though. ![]()
